Little India
Rating: 4
We ate dinner here in January 2021
Lamb pasanda with rice
Malai kofta with rice
Plain naan
Paneer kulcha
It's not easy for a chain Indian restaurant to distinguish itself. We've all had countless middle-of-the-road curries, each a duplicate of the one before. Maybe occasionally you'll branch out, try something new, only to be struck down with immediate regret and go crawling back to your boring korma. Not at Little India. Both curries were absolutely delicious, in particular the malai kofta was the best curry either of us has had in some years. Naans were piping hot, and the rice was fluffy and plentiful. We do have a few minor issues to point out. The water jug was apparently made of lead, or possibly the collapsed innards of a black hole, it was much too heavy. The service was patchy, on the one hand they were very attentive... so attentive that they were in the way and couldn't take a hint that a conversation was over. And on the other hand our stacked dirty dinner dishes sat on our table for an inordinate amount of time, in fact they were still there when we finally left. However none of this changes the fact that this was a scrumptious meal.
